The Ministry of Oil has signed initial deals for 13 profit-sharing contracts from blocks offered its Fifth Licensing Round Plus and Sixth Licensing Round. Of note, all except the last winner are Chinese companies. List below:
1- Anton Oilfield Services won the Dhafriyah 1 field, 29.16% profit share
2- CNOOC won Block 7, 25.88% profit share
3- Geo-Jade won the Zurbatiya (7.65% profit share) and Jabal Sanam (30.9% profit share)
4- Sinopec won the East Somer block, 17.85% profit share;
5- United Energy Group (UEG) won the Fao block, 25.16% profit share
6- ZhenHua won the Al Qurainan block (17.3% profit share) and the Abu Khaimah 1 field (9.1% profit share)
7- Zhongman Petroleum and Natural Gas Group (ZPEC) won the northern part of East Baghdad oil field with an offer of 6.67% profit share and the “Middle Euphrates” fields (Kifl, Kifl West and Marjan), 9.35% profit share
8- Iraqi company KAR won the Ad Daimah 1 (6.2% profit share) and the Sasan 1 + Alan 1 fields (joint award, 17.25% profit share), as well as the Al Khalisiya block
